I see your face.

I watch you move.

I might say hi or walk on by and throw the feelings away.
It’s dark and cold,
As these memories unfold,
And I need you.

I see the truth.
I hide away.
But still I think of you.
I see the girl.
I know the end.
But still I think of you.
I realise as time goes by, I was never your type of girl.

Blind Hope...

I gaze into the distance,
And wonder if it could ever happen to me.
The thing that everyone talks about,
I'm blind, but I act as if I see.

I don't know why I want it so much,
I 'know' what the consequences are.
Love hurts,
It's not the thing that's written in the stars.

They say: 'There's always somebody for someone'.

Like a piece of paper,
My heart feels blank.
I wish I could hate her,
But I can't.

Like a piece of paper,
Can you colour me in?
Everything seems like nothing,
Colour me in from within.

Because it's nothing I feel,
And nothing seems real.
No love,
No hate.
No anger to dissipate.

Colour me with love,
But with that comes pain.
It's a no-win situation,
With nothing to gain.

Like a piece of paper,
My heart and mind feel blank.
I wish I could feel everything but nothing.
But it seems I can't.

Just Watch...

Look around you, just take one little peek.
Just one, can give you the satisfaction that you seek.

Watch her silently crumble,
Because of your sharp tongue.
It's when her faith in life starts to fail,
That for you, the battle is won.

Unhappy with your life,
Determined to make everyone feel the same way.
There's such an easy way for you to do that:
Hurt people, with the little things you say...

It's all pretend

He's the cloud in my sky,
He's the glove for my hand.
And no-one ever stops and wonders why,
He should be my man.

I'm the coffee in his mug,
I'm the sun for his tan.
Everything dissolves away with just one hug,
Guess what! He's my man.

Meant to be,
Everyone could see.
Happy was there end.
But then I remember, it's all pretend...

I've got to let go of this dream,
This dream of you and me:
And it's harder than it seems.

I have to let go,
Because there's too much hurt inside.
There's too much you don't know,
Especially these feelings for you I denied.

I have to let go,
Because I know I'll never tell you.
My self-esteems' too low,
For my feeling's to get through.

I have to let go because,
Because, I think I'll be rejected.
And I'll go back to the way I was-
Feeling dejected.

I need to let you go,
There's no more excuses.
I don't want to let you go,
But I'm always the loses.

It's one sad realization, this poem. You did a good job. I pictured the person turning their back on what they've been watching for a long time without anyone noticing while the sun was setting. ...mmm...I'm tired and am thinking too much. Eheh. Good work on this one.

Having 'been there, done that,' I can understand where you're coming from - so true. I love it. Take heart in the fact that, although it seems impossible at the moment, things will get better, you will let go (or he will come to feel the same for you), and things will seem o so much brighter when it happens. Nuff of my preaching.
