When I think of that time,
Not so long ago down the line,
You told me you loved me.
I should have seen that 'truth' for the lie it was:
But I'd already got caught up in your web of lies and chaos.
But he said he loved me.
He said he'd never meant to break my heart,
And it would be best for us to part.
Next, I saw him hanging around with that tart,
Realising it was a lie he told me at the start.
Sitting on an old park bench, wishing my life away,
Thinking of all the things I could say:
To make this nightmare go away,
And leave it to yesterday.
Life goes on,
After all this time,
I still remember in my mind:
That I had been so blind,
To believe you when you said you loved me.

It's come to a time and point in my life where I either go along with I believe will be the best financially secure route in life. Or follow my dream, despite how foolish it is.
